A note from Farmington Baptist Church's new leader, Pastor Bryan Atwood: Janis and I are committed followers of Jesus who have invested our lives into the ministry of the local church. Over the past twenty years we have served two congregations in the Gulf Coast region, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Saucier MS, and most recently Campground Baptist Church in Gulfport MS. It has become our passion to watch God supernaturally breath new life into congregations that have become discouraged in the work of ministry. It is with great excitement that we have recently joined the faith family at Farmington Baptist Church. This church has a long and rich heritage filled with the ebb and flow of life. It is a church that is filled with gracious and loving people who are excited about the next chapter of fulfilling God’s purpose for the local church. Family is a priority for us. Janis and I have been married for thirty years and have two adult children. Our son Kenneth is married to Lauryn and they have three boys, Fenway, Cooper, and Sy. Our daughter Emily is married to Kevin Smith and they have a daughter Adaline, and son Oliver. We are super proud of this crew and spend much of our spare time involved with family. As lifelong residents of the gulf coast we love fishing, boating, and eating seafood. Salt water, sand, and gulf breezes are a few of life’s pleasures that we greatly enjoy. Rolling hills, cooler temperatures, and small town living has its own advantages. We are thankful to be able to experience life in a new way.
